Hello pets,
Vince here. I have been enjoying my well-overdue hiatus for quite some time now. But all this is behind my back, as the carpet cleaning itch is back. I can’t escape from my second nature, can I?
While I can’t lie that having not to get up at 5 am every morning was not good, I still must admit it tends to become a bit boring. If you have been cleaning carpets for more than 20 years (as yours truly here has), then there is no escape from the professional bug. Whenever I go, I always look down and instantly start surveying the carpet fibres. It does look a bit odd when we are out for dinner, and I suddenly drop to all fours trying to pull a fibre from behind the radiator pipe for inspection and a quick burn test :^).
OK, so this was yesterday. Now is today, and I am firing on all cylinders to start travelling to clients in my van with my trusty porty (eh, this is my portable carpet extractor). I am itching to start using my (thankfully not rusty) stainless steel wand, gliding on nice carpets. Sounds brilliant and is definitely music to my years.
